I was just reading 8-7 Central & took her Pay-It-Forward Challenge. I didn’t do so great with my last Pay-It-Forward but neither did the person I tagged. This time I plan to do better which is why I’m posting it on my challenges blog. It’s a challenge to me and a challenge to you.

So the deal is that I tagged Kylie & she’s gonna send me a random surprise if I post on my blog that I will send a random surprise to the 1st three people who comment on my blog post that they will send a random surprise to the 1st three people who comment on their blog posts and so on ad infinitum…

Well, I’m posting & you are going to possibly comment. Then tons of people will be sending out random surprises & everyone will be happy.

I’ve slacked off again & didn’t make or post anything yesterday so this is Thing #22 but day #24. Every time I’m machine sewing I am looking for a pin cushion every couple of minutes & can never find one even though I used it 2 minutes earlier. I decided to make one that would attach to my machine with velcro so it will stay right next to me while I’m sewing.

The actual colors are more of a maroon, but I’m unable to take a picture where it doesn’t appear to be “rust” colored.

This is actually day 22 but I wasn’t up to doing anything yesterday. So far today I’ve made this. I needed a little needle book to keep in my new re-covered tote from Day 16. It took longer than I expected because the 1st fabric I had for the needles wouldn’t work with the yarn needles.

I’m posting late but I finished it last night. Now that I know how to knit I can make something of my own choosing. This would not be something I would have ever picked to knit. The teacher picked it so we could learn several techniques in a small project. The only part of this that I own (other than the mechanics of making it) is the color. I love this color. It makes me happy.

I think it’s finished unless I decide to add some wristbands.

My 1st try at Reverse Applique! Only 2 more spots to cover.

I have 3 areas I’m covering to hide stains & a hole in a favorite shirt.

Can you ever have too many devil pin cushions?

Is it even possible to have too many devil pin cushions? I think not.

Finally, something just for me!

Finally, something just for me!

I had this ancient absolutely hideous yarn/sewing tote that I hadn’t used in years because I couldn’t bear to look at it or to touch the nasty polyester fabric. The other day I discovered I could pull apart the wooden dowels & take the tote part off. Today I took the fabric apart & to my delight it was made from just 2 rectangles. Once I figured out how to sew it back together it was pretty easy going. This is the softest corduroy ever & the picture doesn’t do the colors justice.

p.s The old fabric is on the table in front of the new beautiful tote.

This is why I’m too tired to do any more than post a picture of our progress. We are about to rearrange who goes where on the farm which will require Cherry to get a new bedroom. We’ve got the hardest parts finished but rain this afternoon kept us from finishing the entire addition. Anita did much of the heavy stuff but I still did a lot of reaching & holding. Plus, somebody has to keep the goats from nibbling the equipment!
